ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Yang, a Sydney-based artist and art teacher with a background in design and fine art. I studied Design at Donghua University and spent over ten years working as a graphic designer before beginning a new artistic journey in 2020. Encouraged by a friend, I started with daily sketches — drawing whatever I saw — and gradually developed a deeper passion for art. What began as a personal outlet has grown into a dedicated artistic practice inspired by nature, the human figure, and animals.

My journey has led me from design to teaching, and today I balance creating original artworks with guiding students in their creative growth. I believe art is not only about expression, but also about connection — each piece carries a story, and I hope my work brings both beauty and meaning into others’ lives.

I am deeply inspired by the quiet poetry of nature and the grace of the human form. Many of my sketches are drawn directly in ink, without preliminary pencil marks, so that each line stays fresh and expressive. This method values both precision and spontaneity, and reflects the authenticity of each moment on paper.
