Classes
With years of teaching experience, I offer structured art classes that focus on the fundamentals of painting and drawing. These lessons are designed for young learners — suitable for beginners as well as intermediate students — while older students and adults are also welcome.
In class, students explore a wide range of subjects — landscapes, portraits, still life, animals, and more — as well as different artistic approaches and styles, from realistic and figurative to abstract. They work with a variety of mediums, including acrylic, watercolours, pencil, ink, pastels, mixed media, and more. Along the way, they also study the fundamentals of fine art: colour theory and mixing, tone, line and form, brushwork, composition, proportion, and perspective.
My teaching is systematic and structured, step by step. Lessons are available in both small groups and private sessions.
Currently, limited spots are available — Friday 6:30–7:30pm. For more details on schedules and pricing, feel free to email me or send me a quick message. I’d love to hear from you.
Young Archie Winners
Two of my students were finalists in the Young Archie competition — one of the most prestigious youth art prizes in Australia.
Winning a place in the Young Archie competition is a prestigious achievement. In 2025, over 3,200 entries were submitted, yet only about 70 finalists and 20 honourable mentions were selected — an acceptance rate of just 2.8%. This recognition highlights not only artistic skill, but also originality, storytelling, emotional expression, and a strong personal voice.
As a teacher, I guide my students to develop these very qualities. I encourage them to find their own voice and express personality and emotion in every portrait, while also providing practical methods and techniques that strengthen their skills. This balance helps them create with honesty and individuality. Seeing their efforts recognised on such a respected platform gives me immense pride and motivates me to continue supporting young artists in their growth.
